  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) Not to put you on the spot, but how long do you envision waiting for Brad J. (or somone at Lego) to post explaining their position before you post his email? I'm very interested in insight into (wow, three "in" words in a row) TLC's reasoning (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Harry Potter (Film) Set

I got books 1-4 in hardback by joining a book club - 6 books for $1-2 (plus shipping of about $10), and I have to buy 4 books over the next 2 years - of which I figure 2 will be Potter books 5 and 6. It should work out to less than paperback cost by (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Self-Centering extended coupler

Very nice design. No springs either! I will definitely try it. The slack action, as you mentioned, is a concern, but kudos to the design that allows you to push and still have the coupler pivot.   Clarrification needed

Todd, Is this section for debate about how Lego and LD are working with the consumer? Or should all that be moved to .debate? I was wondering because I posted a large opinion piece about LD and "recent events" into .debate. Bryan (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  A Really Nice Day

I just wanted to say that I thought the layout at NMRA was very exciting. My wife and I came down for the day just to see BayLUG/BayLTC's setup. It was a real treat getting the chance to see a big layout in action. Congrats to all that helped make (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: RC control on Pneumatics, gearboxes and polarity switches

There is one very important point that no one has considered. The FCC has set up laws prohibiting use of air frequencies on land vehicles. This is to protect RC pilots from interference from other people on the same frequency. Someone could be (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Cheap Fiber Optic Cable

Has anybody made a successfull fiberoptic cable to link the scout and micro scout? I was thinking when I remember these old toys they use to make.
