Re: Dwindling inventory marked down by 50% at Brickbay

(...) Make that 2 - 50% off as well in my store: (URL) like to get rid of most of if not all that's there and quit parting out sets altogether since now it seems like I got 3 full-time jobs. There are still 10 copies of Fort Legoredo coming. (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft...

Okay, my stupidity... seems to be Arabic writing... or maybe I am still being ignorant... but definitely not Japanese... sorry for the confusion.... :( EC (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Brickmania calls it quits on custom model kits

(...) Knowing what I now know about how rare some of the parts are in my kits, I wouldn't wish that task on anyone. I doubt TLG would be interested in licensing my designs (especially when they could just steal them outright... if they could them (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: GPSP -- $22.45

(...) What is the normal price for the 7151? After this alert (thanks Dave!) I managed to find one (looked like someone had tried to hide it, unsuccessfully I might add!) at Target Hobart, but I'm curious to know what I actually saved. Target here (...)   Re: Brickmania calls it quits on custom model kits

Dan, Your talents and craftsmanship will be missed. The service you provided far exceeded any other custom models-for-sale attempts that I have seen.   Question on two sets(5571-8448)

I was scanning around various lego websites and I have seen a few Lego Big Rig 5571 with some custom made trailers. My question is Since I don't have one of them does anyone know if the Technic 8448 Supercar is the same width as the Big Rig? I only (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

(...) Just to be picky, we Australians also call it soccer. "Football" here generally refers to Australian Rules Football (AFL) although I think that it may also refer to Rugby(?) depending on where you live in Aust. (Can't say for sure, I'm not a (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports)

Re: Has Anyone Joined the Dark Side Yet?

As an aside to people still trying to locate the Dark Side Developer set; I found mine at a Target store in the Denver metro area a couple of days ago (along with a UCS Tie Fighter).   Re: GPSP -- $22.45

(...) These things are to an AFOL's advantage. Retail price was $87.97 originally, slightly less post-GST. K-mart have had them for twelve dollars less for most of the year.   Re: New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

(...) Oh! OK, I'll fix that on the webpage. OK, added the word "most" and now it says this: ("Soccer" is the U.S. name for what is called "Football" most everywhere else in the world.) That's what I've heard for years and years, anyhow. What's it (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports)

Re: New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

(...) Even here (Aus) the official theme name is still Football although all the Aus. AFOLs here on Lugnet refer to the sets as "soccer" in normal conversation. Lego Australia calls it Football, and so does the annual catalog. Deidre drb@tasmail.com (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports)
