  Re: Soccer Tour gathering

(...) In the newest LEGO Maniac magazine, there's a poster of the new soccer sets. On the back, there's a LEGO soccer semi that'll be at the Columbus Crew home game sometime in September.   local variables

Hi! I read that legOS only declared varibles the first time the program is run. Does this mean I cannot use local variables. I have loops in different functions using 'i' as looping variable, which is locally declared. Should I avoid this? Tobias (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Need lift to Southport LEGO Show

I know it's a bit late but my planned lift has had other stuff come up. As many of you know I live in Redditch. I think it would be best to post to the newsgroup - my e-mail isn't too good. To be quite honest if Phil Traviss can't make it there may (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Question about Running 12v trains

(...) The lights _should_ be fine. Esp. if you have any real length of wire between them and the powerpack, they are not going to get 13V, in fact, they may well not even be getting 12V. The best way to judge is to take the lights, and (in a dark (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Question about Running 12v trains

For a 7864 12v train speed regulator: Went down to Radio Shack yesterday and bought a 40W 110v to 220v step up transformer. So far as I can tell 40W is just fine for running the LEGO 12v trains and accessories. The German plug on the 7864 goes (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: ldglite and Mesa

(...) Ahh, the so called "stable" executable from way back when. I thought I statically linked that one to the Mesa libs, but I guess not since it seems to be looking for libMesaGLU.so. Do you feel comfortable grabbing the source distribution and (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  RE: New pbForth GUI

This is a great idea, Ralph. I've wanted to just fool around in pbForth, but have been intimidated by the apparent front-end learning curve.
