Hi .. I want to unsubscribe temporary, because I want to turn off my computer in several weeks. Thankyou very much. (28 years ago, 30-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Rating DC motors

I've got this old Radio Shack RC car that I want to use as a chassis for the HB I'm building. It is the same type car that the Mobot Lab used to build Tom and Jerry. I no longer have the box and I ripped the RC board out of it long ago. How can I (...) (28 years ago, 30-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Buncha bouncebacks

Sorry, there is nothing I can do about this short of compiling, installing, and configuring brand new mail list software from scratch. The mail list SW my lab provides is very primitive and can't do anything intelligent with bounces. I don't really (...) (28 years ago, 30-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Is 18V correct?

For the HB, when do you draw 500mA? When you put the interface on "Zap Charge", do you lower the voltage less that 12V? What about when you "trickle" it? Hihger that 12V? (...) (28 years ago, 29-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Buncha bouncebacks

Fred, I get a bunch of bounce-back messages when I post to this mailing list. Apparently many of the addresses have gone bad. It doesn't really matter, I just delete them, but how does one, as a mailing-list administrator, deal with address (...) (28 years ago, 29-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Is 18V correct?

this is correct. normal dc adapters are unregulated and there is a reciprocal relation between voltage and current. when you just plug it in and and measure voltage, current is 0 and hence voltage is higher than the spec. if you draw the rated 500 (...)   Re: Rug Warrior Program

(...) What exactly did you load? was it a .lis file? (It should be) I use the RugWarrior myself, and use handyboard routines as well on it. So please first tell me more. Hans (28 years ago, 29-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Is 18V correct?

Oh, you hardware guys must really hate us software guys but... I just purchased a volt meter, I had used on in college a long time ago, so I placed the voltmeter across the AC adapter and it read 18.0, I'm guessing this is 18 volts, but I could be (...)
