  Re: Scout Questions

The others have mentioned the white gear is a clutch gear. I thought I'd throw out a practical use to put it into perspective: it's ideal for a motorized gripper, where you'd want the grip to have some resistance as it closes, but not so much torque (...)   Wtt: Misc Stuff, and Web Page Update!

I've updated my BST page at www.geocities.com/xcalabur18 I've added a lot of Adventurers parts, some Space, and quite a few odds and ends. I've also updated my wants list. At the moment, my HIGHEST priority is Dragon Masters figures, and the things (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: US S@H Specials, May 15 - May 21, 2000

Since Tom will be out next week, I will try to remember to call Lego and post the information. No guarantees, as I sometimes get busy Monday mornings. Do I have authority to post to lsahs or should I just post to market.shopping? (...) Also, FYI, (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Ultrasonic maximum timing

(...) Except that I don't think it counts at 2Mhz, rather I think it counts at 500Khz (2 / 4 = ECLK) (I may be totally off base here, since I've not read the pink book in about 6 years) that would put your max at 32767/500000 = .0655 at 1000 ft/sec (...)   Re: SW mini-fig 3-pack OFFICIAL set numbers

(...) Nevertheless, they could mix in a SW enthusiast in the marketing team. These kind of errors really annoy me - just like last night - I'm watching a PBS special that displays a graphical map with Alexandria, Egypt about as far west as Morocco, (...)   Making magazines (was Re: This is incredible!)

(...) Sorry for the heavy editing, but I just want to address these parts of your post. You make these statements with such certainty that I would expect you to have actually been in their art dept. when decisions were made. I'd love to discover (...)   Re: Millennium Falcon Opinion

(...) For full price? Not a chance. For 75% off? Nope. For half off? No. For 75% off? Yes, if I could ever find it that cheap. It's just too little for too much to persuade me. (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Millennium Falcon Opinion

(...) LEGOish. Yeah... I recently inherited some of my little bro's Lego parts because he's entering High School and (gasp!) doesn't want them anymore. I was suprised at the huge SPUD/POOP boat-hull things that came from the TimeCruisers set. Much (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Help Open 12v switch track motor- doesn't switch

Ben, Thanks. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. However, I would not want you to re-open a repaired points motor that currently works and risk damaging the box. Perhaps Ludo would be willing to speak to this again? I am (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Pirate Game - who wants to play

(...) I think at this point it would be helpfull to get an idea of who all wants to play so we can start to get an idea if this should be a definite and how much space we might need (of course how much space we can have is up to the Brikfest (...)   Re: Millennium Falcon Opinion

(...) TLC wouldn't have needed to double the price to produce a more accurate Falcon - they could have done so with a more accurate and judicious selection of pieces. I realize that the MF is a hot item, so TLC is going to make it an expensive set, (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Millennium Falcon Opinion

  Re: Millennium Falcon Opinion

(...) I agree with you 100%. We all expected a paired-down Falcon, but I don't think that we expected such a thrown-together and poorly-conceived specimen. Though it was designed for kids, TLC should still have taken pride in faithfully reproducing (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Pirate Game - info about ships

(...) The longest the rules mention is 4 center sections, but I don't think Steve actually ever runs even those (the ship record sheets online only go up to 3 center section ships).   Re: ZNAP at GR TRU!

(...) I was staggered at the notion that it is a perfect 42 _floor_ cube. Let's see, that's 176,400 square feet per floor, times 42 floors, equals almost 7,500,000 square feet of living space. Not bad for $800K. -Adam 8^D (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr, lugnet.off-topic.fun)
