Some clarifications: The Canadian Lego outlet is not an outlet like in the U.S. (it is privately owned and located in St.Jacobs). Slopes and inverse slopes aren't "basic" bricks, though ;-) I consider them essential, especially corner slopes and INVERSE corner slopes (too dang hard to get in sets these days).
