(...) I'm not positive, but I think the R2-D2 may be part of a larger class of Astromech droids. (Not all R2 units have hemispherical heads like R2-D2.) C-3PO (and TC-14) are Protocol Droids, IIRC. There's also the problem of LEGO working differently in different countries. One example of this is the ranges they allow for each country. Another is the differing numbering for the same sets [eg 4801/4811]. Further, they have different 'clubs' in (...) (26 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)
