  Ordering from S@H (From Canada)

I don't know about you US people but ordering from S@H has become such a chore for us Canadians. They don't keep your information on file. You have to jump though all the hoops and the price they quote to you in Canadian dollars is usually not what (...) (26 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.dear-lego) !

  Re: Wild West MOC's

(...) Looking forward to see them. What did you make the Cantina out of? I have been working on a hotel/ cantina that uses the white log walls to give it more of a stucco look to it. David (26 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.western)

Re: sonar mapping with evidence grid

(...) home (...) I have read that it is not actually a solid cone angle, but a peak central lobe and a few side lobes. I think the best way to figure this out is to mount your sonar sensor on a rotatable head and go out to an open field. Place a (...) (26 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Another Point to Ponder ...

HA! lolololol - I kill me! This was supposed to go just to Mike, not to the whole newsgroup. Oh, woe is me and my pitiful little plans for miniworld domination! Might as well plaster my battle plans on a bulletin board before the next meeting ;) (...) (26 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Question: 6091/6098

(...) Well, both are the same... it was realized around here that TLC somehow mixed up the numbers, all the sets labelled 6091 had instructions with 6098 and the catalog numbers are somewhat confused. However, the two sets are supposed to be (...) (26 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

What would a Time Cruisers Mystic Mountain Time Lab MISB be worth?

  Re: New Animation

(...) Dan, actually I gave you quicktime movies(.mov) that were assembled with Quicktime Pro. I had tried a piece of shareware(AVI Constructor Kit???) to produce avi's that looked good, except for the banner it places in the middle of the frame(1). (...)   Re: What would a Time Cruisers Mystic Mountain Time Lab MISB be worth?

(...) Well, let's see... At *each* of the two TRUs within a five-ten mile radius from my home, they have about a *dozen* of these suckers that they've had on "sale" for $50 each for over a *year* (maybe two years, now). So, as far as I'm concerned, (...) (26 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Some Words To BFC

(...) BFC wont help ray tracers. Just because a surface isn't visible from the _current_ camera position, doesn't mean it doesnt cast a shadow or a reflection. Ray tracers need those backsides. -Chuck (26 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Question: 6091/6098

(...) Thanks Shiri. I have the set 6098. Quite often in the past when the same set has two numbers, the instruction book shows both numbers on the front cover (for example, 4801/4811). Looks like someone made a mistake with set number 6091 when the (...) (26 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Some Words To BFC

(...) In other words, every face in a subfile will have other faces in the part-construction that will form the other side of the solid, right? That sounds correct. (...) There are only a couple of non-symmetrical primitives, but they are used (...) (26 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Do Minifigs Dream of Plastic Sheep?

...to paraphrase Phil Dick. I was creating a web-page to introduce my LEGO-minifig alter-ego; when trying to decide on his hobbies, I figured he should be a photographer. It seems odd, though, to put pictures up of real life as if they're being (...) (26 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)
