  Re: DROID ALERT

WHAT???????? $99.99 for 8002??? What in the Sam Hill are they smoking at your local toystore? The MSRP for 8002 is $49.99. All the prices you mention are WAY high, by nearly a factor of two! I suggest you move to a bigger town ASAP! :-) -Bill Leue (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: DROID ALERT

Oops! Well, of course, I should have looked at your return email address more carefully! Australian dollars! *blushes* Sorry, typical Yankee assumption that 'dollars' means 'U.S dollars'. What is the current exchange rate? -Bill Leue (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  RE: Does age affect value?

From memory, the parts are generally bricks, with some of the 2x2 and 4x4 wheels with assosiated axle bricks. There are also quite a few of the 1x1 round bricks, which don't have the indentation round the base like the modern ones. There were also (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Or if you are lazy like me, you copy the second line, then right-click the first line, choose Open in New Window, and when it pops up, copy the second line to the end of it.   Re: DROID ALERT

(...) Guess they didn't want to break the $ 100 mental barrier ,but as we all know 99.99 gets rounded up. At TRU $42something for 8000 and $64something for 8001 seems to ring a bell. By the way what's Wollongong like toystorewise for Lego, is it (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

[MOC] Desert Outpost of the Dragon Clans

After a long hiatus, I finally have an addition to my page! The new pics and pages are of a desert fortress built to control a small oasis, and currently occupied by a small detachment of soldiers from the Dragon Clans (the same detachment, it (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle) !

Good, cheap storage boxes at Home Depot

Our local Home Depot (Albany, NY, USA) has a good bargain for Lego storage boxes: Tuff 'Tainer by Flambeau Products Corp, Middlefield Ohio, 44062, 800-232-3474. These come in two sizes. I like the larger of the two. (Part #5004)The outside (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.storage)

Richard, I'm certainly not an economist, so my feelings are just a mildly educated opinion, but I don't think you will ever see any major company have a distribution channel like you want. It won't work. If it was such a good idea, retail outlets (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego) !

  VB 6 subprocedure stumper

I sure could use some help. I'm trying to recreate the BugBot program from the book "Definitive Guide to Lego Mindstorms" in VB 6. It's a simple program with a tank-like robot that has two "feelers" - one if the robot hits something on the right; (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: [MOC] Desert Outpost of the Dragon Clans

Hey Jeff! Now, 'tis 'bout time we saw some of your excellent creations! I really can't write long, since it's getting late, but I love the creative use of the sphinx baseplate, not to mention the lack of castle-walls - the "stone" effect is (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)
