From memory, the parts are generally bricks, with some of the 2x2 and 4x4
wheels with assosiated axle bricks. There are also quite a few of the 1x1
round bricks, which don't have the indentation round the base like the
modern ones. There were also several plates, including 2 4x8 (?) with 1
corner curved. The base of this is a grid, instead of the tubes used now.
There may be more parts, but I can't remember off-hand.

I don't know if this is the right location for posting this, • but I was
wondering if the age of a part affects it's value.

I'm asking this as I have quite a few parts from the early • 60's [I think],
which have a different moulding on the top of the studs [The • word LEGO is
smaller, and less angled], and was wondering if this would • affect their
value/collectability.

It would depend on the parts. From my perspective, for the
most part, the
only standard bricks for which older would get me to pay
anything more for
would be old pre-tube bricks (I have a slight interest in
putting together a
"history of the brick" display). 1960s parts which are no
longer made are a
different story. Parts which have changed form slightly might
gain a little
higher interest from me, but not much.
