I prefer to edit my mpd files by hand, and use l3lab in polling mode to view the changes (am I a masochist, or what?), but it's a pain having to flick back and forth between the parts catalog especially for the common pieces (bricks, plates, etc) So (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad)

I don't know if this is the right location for posting this, but I was wondering if the age of a part affects it's value. I notice that packed with my Lego 8002 Droid kit was a model 1998 Service catalog, listing many hard-to-find parts, including my "holy grail", the 6551 Electric Pole Reverser, which has, for some strange reason, been renumbered as 5120 in this (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.technic)

Can the motor outputs be used to close a relay instead of running a motor? As an example to control a motor that needs 120v AC?
