Re: Is 8479 Barcode Multi Set worth buying?

(...) I spoke to Lego S@H about two weeks ago - they said 8479 is still in stock for $164 USD, but I didn't ask how many they have. I'm on the fence as to whether I should jump on one. I just spent close to $300 on ebay recently so it's a question (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Proposed 'Legomodule' standard

(...) I agree completely. That's why we try to do that exact thing on our 'common' sections - the sections that *always* line up next to each other. Building vertical is good - it adds a lot of interest and visual appeal... JohnG, GMLTC (26 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Black large Technic gear?

(...) The black turntable comes with the 8480 but with other sets too, because I have two of them but just own one single 8480. Sorry I can't remember the which set now. Mario (26 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Minifig Armies?

(...) Well, I do know that there's two female figs in the King Leo's Castle set, but I say more women in the smaller sets! Make it cheap for us to find wives to all those poor peasant farmers! -Chris (26 years ago, 24-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: new part - 71014 Castle Greatsword

(...) OK, I copied the relevant lines into a separate DAT file, and -- well, it wasn't so much that the edge lines were inside the torii (they were) as that I put the "cones" (for making the torii) in the wrong places. :-P~~~ I've fixed this here.   Re: "Glowing" Lights in POV-RAY (2nd attempt)

(...) Hello, 1. To make a light stronger you can use a multiplier. For example: color rgb 2*<1,1,1> (double the light of the light source) or color rgb 0.5*<1,1,1> (half the light of the light source) or any other multiplier you like. 2. You can use (...)   Re: 5542 Black Thunder (no doors no windows)

Train doors tend to go for $2-5 each for the plain-colored ones, printed ones can go MUCH higher. Train windows are going to be really cheap in a few months with the soccer vans coming out with red/blu/black/white windows. The glass, however, will (...)   Re: Proposed 'Legomodule' standard

  Making Lego airborne

Hi, I want to create a light-weight tethered helicopter and was wondering if it was possible at all. Is the micro-motor powerful enough to lift a small helicopter.
