Hi,

Is the micro-motor powerful enough to lift a
small helicopter.  What about the geared motor or the older motor that
is found in the space shuttle.

I seriously doubt you'll get any Lego motor to lift itself off the ground. I
tried to use a Lego propeller and the older motor to push a small wheeled
vehicle *horizontally* across the kitchen floor with very little success. I
can think of two alternatives:
1) use a gas powered R/C motor under RCX control
2) use a blimp (I think someone was working on this one).
