Re: Podracing bucket contents revealed . . .

I would have to say that I find this to be a bit ridiculous. I guess I do not understand your reasoning behind your statement? We are not talking about leaked info about long term plans for Star Wars sets from TLG. We are talking about sets that (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Ben Fleskes wrote re th efolding buffet-table type legs: (...) Those legs are stronger then you might think (with decent fixings, of course). They are quite happy with a 280lb guy on the table.   Re: Minifig What scale are they??

(...) The problem is that minifigs don't actually have human proportions. Therefore, "minifig scale" is actually kind of wonky too. ericc (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: Bid retractions (was Re: eBay dead again)

Hmmm... I don't like this whole bid retraction thing.... It also means that the seller could pull one over on the buyer if he has two extra throw-away Ebay accounts, and unless I check the bidding history I'd never know it... Scenario: 1. I bid on (...)   Re: Minifig What scale are they??

(...) Minifigs are minifig scale. I know they don't scale up to human size: my head isn't as tall as my torso, and my legs are longer than both. Oh, and I have knees. I suspect TLG designed them to be somewhat childlike. Large round heads, (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: Podracing bucket contents revealed . . .

(...) Ok, I've stopped my mindless salivations. TLC has it's own press machine. If they want us to know about it, they'll let us know. Um... I still want to know what is in it, but I guess I'll have to wait if TLC isn't involved in this release of (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New LEGO train realism?

I was trying to get people to calm down from throwing out ideas like "well, just buy a new trailer" or "just rent a Ryder, never mind that you use the trailer for storage between shows", which are not particularly helpful suggestions.   WTS/WWT Pink Lego clones

I've got a lot of pink, purple, and pastel blue bricks, plates, etc. Also some specialty pieces. These are NOT Lego, but they fit universally. Offered as one lot.   Re: Bid retractions (was Re: eBay dead again)

(...) Weird, I didn't know eBay accomodated bid retractions on closed auctions. Seems kind of futile to put in a bid retraction _after_ you've entered a binding contract to buy the item. -Adam (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Bid retractions (was Re: eBay dead again)

My idea was to make the person type in their bid again if it is some multiple (like 10x) above the current bid, not just click an OK button, though even just putting an EXTRA "are you sure" screen, with a differently arranged button, would (...)   Re: Minifig What scale are they??

(...) Well, my standard for minifigs is 7mm = 1 minifig foot. This is based off of the fact that minifigs are typically about 42mm tall (you can adjust that with backpacks and hats), which should be roughly 6 feet. This translates roughly into a (...)   Re: Bid retractions (was Re: eBay dead again)

Re: Bid retractions (was Re: eBay dead again)

(...) I think Ben was talking about an auction which hadn't ended. If the auction has ended, the runner up bidders have no obligation, but the seller is permitted to offer the rejected item to them. (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

  in DC 7 - 12 April

Although I will be terribly busy supporting setup of a show over the weekend I'm hoping that Tuesday 11 April will be a slack evening. Any chance for a get together? I'm still here in Boca Raton (WPB/FLL area) this week, next week and most of the week after next. In fact I am staying over the weekend to go to a wedding 31 Mar- 2 Apr. Any interest on anyone's part for a get together? Tampa is a bit far off, (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.us.fl)
