(...) Backlighting is a "no issue" for most of our usage. I have used all but the 40x1 displays from BG and they all work fine. If there is a 44780 on the board, you can use it. One of the things I like about it is that it doesn't encorporate other colors just for the sake of expanding the color range of the set, like the MTT and the Millenium Falcon. eric PS. Thanks Larry, but the matched pair no longer exists. One of the blue engines was convereted to the SD40-2. I will am going to try to make a matched pair of dash 2's. But I still need to make a power unit. By the way, I finally found out what a GP30 (...) (25 years ago, 20-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)
