New Kraft Mac & Cheese Promo

My wife found some boxes of regular Kraft Mac & Cheese that advertises a promo for LEGO. The grand prize is a trip for 4 to LEGOLAND California. First prize is one of three large LEGO sets. Check 'em out. Dan M. (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Favorite Lego Train?

The best currently availably train set is the 4565 Freight and Crane Railway. The best ever, in nearly everyone's opionion(including mine), is the 4558 Metroliner, but get out about $500 for one MISB. I own one and like it. (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Army size and picture editing ...

Very nice! I see the link between graphic editing software and pictures strating to form:) One CW if fully under way, I plan on taking a picture every week and doing a little messing around with it. This week it's Dave Eaton's Village. There is a (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) Well, that's a good question. There isn't much of anything that better determines who will buy it than asking people to pay for it up front, which is what I was suggesting be done with an X account. That way you don't have checks to worry (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Favorite Lego Train?

I've got to agree, the 4565 is probally the best train set on the shelves right now...I much prefer the 4559 Cargo Railway to the newer 4561 but 4559s are getting hard to find. If you want a ready to go passenger train your pretty much stuck with (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Favorite Lego Train?

(...) My favorite is whatever I just finished designing myself. I'm a better designer (for the adult market) than LEGO are. But then I don't have the same constraints they do and I'm not nearly as constrained by piece count as they are... Currently (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Boilers

Do any part of the boilers in a capital ship of the mauve decade protrude above waterline? Maybe you should just suggest the top of the boilers on the lowest deck? And why is this cross posted to Pirates?? :-) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: New town-themed web site

(...) Yes, DACTA is a great thing, having many great parts. The set is 9701, but it costs $267:(, but I didn't know that earlier. Alan (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  LEGO-Direct

In the interest of sparking renewed interest in your train line perhaps you could rerelease some of the older car sets ie Metroliner OB car, flat car, maybe even releasing additional cars for still available train sets ie extra coaches for 4559 and (...) Mostly agree, but one thing to note is that... (...) 4536 was an aberration. Lego has never made another hopper like it.   Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) And DEFINITELY nix the full-color pouch or whatever it was. Full color anything is too expensive for something like this. Let the programs and the dat files wow people - don't depend on a few pretty pictures on a pouch they'll probably throw (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) $100 to ship 650 cds (even with pouches) sounds high. I ordered 500 blank CDs with jewel cases that I guarantee weighed more and took up just as much room as 650 with cardboard pouches and shipping was in the thirties. (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) Lemme know where you're getting this quote and I'll find out if I can put you in touch with the place I've used for several jobs if they can beat this price. (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
