Re: 1977- Does lego wrap its box with clear plastic?

(...) Yes, I'm sure about it. You can find many smaller sets which are wrapped in plastic from the late seventies. A very good way to preserve the box from dust and shelfwear. Giulio (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

I picked up this 60's ad on ebay

I picked up this 60's ad on ebay, I quite liked it so I decided to share. Any help in dating it any better would be good. It is from the UK. See it (300k) at: (URL) A My Lego Site : (URL) List : (URL) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)

Ohio gathering, take (how many now?)

There had been some planning before Christmas of a get-together, primarily in the Cleveland area, but involving whoever wants to show up. It seems, however, that the planning has ground to a halt. I'd be willing to host a lego gathering at my house (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

Re: I didn't get my memebership pack yet

Selçuk, I got my very cool membership pack about two weeks after Todd got my first payment. I think he does send them after he gets $10 from the member. I don't think he put my name up on the members' board until he got the payment either. He (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.people)

Re: I picked up this 60's ad on ebay

My guess would be the second 1/2 of 1961. The price range in the first 1/2 of 1961 for the basic sets was 45/- to 10/6 and changed to 45/6 to 10/9 for the second 1/2. However these prices carried on thru 1962, but by then there would have been (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)
