It is a minor start but we have a web presence! (URL) isn't much there yet. If you have pictures you want posted, send them to me.   New admirals

I have heard a rumour floatin' 'round that there are some workarounds for the unavailable Pirate sets. Seems I was a'hearin' that one could use the "bow" bit from the bi-plane Baron from Adventurers and the half octagon crenellation from the new (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Facial Expressions ..

(...) It most certainly does! Thanks, Bill, for the fabulous idea! (...) LOL! That arrow isn't the most realistic one I've ever seen ;-) but otherwise it looks really good. (...) We can finally have some unchronic-happy guys! Yay! -Shiri (URL) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Train Stickers

John, No . . . thought about that, but no. The shadows in the photograph make them more difficult to see. See what you can do with good lighting :-). Actually, I chose not to tape the flanges for just this reason: they stand-out like a sore thumb. (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New meaning of "unusual"?

Well, if these were all OLD instructions, it might actually be a good deal. If you buy a lot of used LEGO for reconstitution into sets, getting instructions is very very useful, as most random lots of bricks don't have enough instructions. So I'm (...)   Re: Help Me......

Hi Richard, First of all let me assure you that you're not alone. I've had a MAJOR building block (as this lack of temporary ideas and imagination is often referred to) ever since September `99. This is when I moved to the US and suddenly I could (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Toronto Find for Canadian AFOLs!

Hi all, When I was in TO this weekend, I came across two sealed Fort Legoredos selling for Can$119 each--granted, not exactly a "steal," but not a bad deal for someone who wants this set. They were at the toy store (the only toy store!) in the (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: New admirals

(...) I've done the bi-plane "bow" bit and I'm not sure I care for it. I prefer the 6x7 bow that can be found in a number of places for making small pirate ships (similiar to the one in the Imperial Trading Post). The Imperial Trading Post ship (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: FOTW: Blimps for a Buck!!

(...) Consider asking the management. If they know you'll take them, they might knock them down just for you (although likely not clear to $1). If several stores are doing this, I'd start watching your local Wal-marts--I literally stumbled upon (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Wonderful KBKIDS.COM Sale - NOT!

(...) Yes, Mr. Android Base. ;) Did I mention that I scored three Aquashark "Shark's Crystal Cave" sets and the big yellow Aquanauts sub (both first-generation) for a total of $75 at the same K-B ToyWorks store where I bought those 6958s?   1977- Does lego wrap its box with clear plastic?

Does anyone know whether lego wrapped its box with clear plastic in 1977 ? I have noticed an ebay item which states that the box is plastic wrapped. I am not sure whether it is new or not? Any comments are appreciated... (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: John E. Doolittle

(...) Ack, no. The only side with battleships at Midway was Japanese, and they never took any part of the battle (they were part of the "invasion force"). It was a purely carrier-driven action (with bits of submarineness about). You may be thinking (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Can they do like this?
