Liar! I happen to know that your name is Takahiro Shinjo and you work for OSPC (Osaka Squid Processing Concern) by day, and write underground pseudo-pornographic manga by night. Although your fembots are cool, the entertainment value connected with this style of MOC can only be equalled by huffing paint behind a 7-11 in Arkansas. I think this one would look equally cool in an aquatic environment with a minimum of changes. Its kind of reminds me of a Swiss Army knife with all the folding, and the cutting, and the pointy things.

Yes, initially, as the pic was loading, I was under the impression that he’d finally found a use for those dingy boats in an MOC-- The effect was that good.

(For the record, those dingys make great train fuel tanks)

Clearly your fascination with grappling continues unabated. Perhaps you were a crustacean in a former life...

While I could go one at length about your attention to detail, your formidable SNOT and your sheer inventiveness, it is the inexplicable x-ray piece that takes this over the top for me.

Well done Soren.

Peace and el-rayo-x, Professor Whateverly

Whoa, cool! From the pic in your post, I thought it might be a micro-scale ship of some sort. Very nice, though, whatever the scale.

It reminds me of the opening movie in StarCraft--the two guys going on an EVA to check out the debris--“‘xplain to me... how we gonna get this stuff back home?”

Very nicely done!

Yeah right Soren,or should I say Takashi? We all know that you’re Japanese. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Nor is the fact that you earn your lego budget making anime tentacle porn.

Oh, the MOC! It’s typicaly good or whatever. It’s pretty cool. Going for a cockpit that isn’t enclosed is an interesting touch, definately something different. I really like the contoured shape. I’m impressed with how well you minimized the gaps.

As usual, the greebling is top-notch. And your color handling is amazing- you put in what might normally be too many colors on such a small model, but it just works. And you manage to make yellow come out right. I’ve got this huge pile of yellow brick, and I just can’t find anything good to do with it.

My favorite detail is the sloped section with the curved bricks and how you integrated it with the wedge plates. That works beautifully.

Takahiro

Excelent moc Takahiro,

I like the location of the engines. They give the feel of the ship being able to speed to a construction site, and then use the smaller thrusters for more accurate work. I can imagine a Space Pirate space station with a landing bay kind of thing for these things. My favorite detail was that slanted part near the back. And as always, awsome SNOT and greebling.

I love when you post new stuff because it always inspires me to build. Everybody liked how you got the curved edge to follow the wedge plate, and that’s also the first thing I noticed, but on my second pass I picked up a lot of good technique on integrating technic parts into the brick, which we all need to do if we want to use those handy ball joints.

At microfig scale this would make a nice Outlaw Star-type grappler ship. At minifig scale, it’s a great little spaceborne materials handler.

Soren, your MOC is awesome, very impressive as usual. So much details in such a small size ship! The greebles are neat, and each of them looks like having a function. It’s not just greebles for texturazing, to fill an empty space. I’ll definitly have more than one look at your MOC.

A friend of mine spotted something about your photos: almost half of them looks like mirrored version of the other half... not so clear, hmm? Example:

and

and

Of course some details can be different from one side to an other. But I would enjoy pictures taken from different views, angles. Once again you manage to put so much details in your MOCs I sometimes think it’s a pitty we have so few pictures of them...

Thanks for sharing!

JP.
