I’m curious about the hands/fingers... I’ve been meaning to try that, but I wasn’t sure about the posability? How do they fair when having to hold something?

Not very well at all. Most mech builders leave an exposed stud somewhere that does most of the holding. Mark Sandlin’s DEEPFRAH uses this finger style, and the gun (as seen here) is held up by that inverse slope in the palm. Soren Roberts also used this finger style (here)- which was my direct inspiration for Bangobot (or should I say, idea stolen?) - and he also relies on exposed studs in the palm to hold on to anything.

I’m sure you could get something in the hand and have the fingers hold it up, but not much.

Ummm...

Ahem...

I think I used that finger idea first:

Truly that was innovative. But this isn’t about you. It’s about Lenny citing his inspiration.

Well I was merely pointing out the true source. I don’t want people to forget the true source. If Lenny wants to give a brief history of the idea, he should include me in it.

To you this might seem silly, but to me it’s very important. I’m very fastidious when it comes to history.

I thought Mark’s DEEPFRAH webpage cited me as the inspiration, but I guess it was taken it down. Oh well, no matter, it’s already become as ubiquitous as the minifig legs as hands idea.

Again, very innovative! IIRC, Mark did cite you as a source here on Lugnet. You’ve been credited. Propers have been given already.

I’m not seeking any kind of praise.

Read the above reply; I want people to know the source.

Have a seat and relax. You’re blocking the spotlight.

I’m sorry I did that to your boyfriend. He has it back now.

mmmkay?

:-p

(...) Oddly enough, I didn't want to give a brief history of the idea. I did want to give two examples that inspired me directly - both of which addressed the issue I was talking about: the usefulness of that fingertech in holding stuff. I'm sorry (...)
