Just letting Pirate fans know that I bought ten of the tiny 1747 sets from
S@H, and all of them came with an extra cutlass. Cool, now I have a pile of
them! :)

Just a side note, these sets are great if you just need a little more treasure
(and who doesn't). My set came with eight gold pieces and a cup!

I've got more cutlasses than I can safely store in my ships, and gold well,
yes, one can always use more.
To really arrest my attention, tell me about a set I can buy for next to
nothing that has quantities of anchors, ship's wheels, and those four
pronged lantern holder thingies c/w top covers in the same colour.
Ohhhh ohh ohh, and 18th century convict minifigs!
Hit me with it baby, uhh haa, uhh haa.........
Richard
Still baldly going...
Check out Port Block at http://www.hinet.net.au/~rparsons/port/
Note the change in URL - Port Block is moving (to new and larger
accommodations)
Do adjust your set.

I've sure regreted the cutlasses I've bought from parts auctions, I probably
have way more than I need.

Well, the dollar blimps came with an anchor (it's a real shame the blimp
didn't come with a ship's wheel). Of course dollar blimps don't help Richard
too well... I've got a handfull of extra palm leaf holders/lantern holders
that I've acquired in various sets, but they are definitely the hardest
piece to get in colors other than brown and green.

That is a great little set. Of all the Pirate minifigs, that one is my
absolute favorite torso. Useful for so many Pirate personalities--looks good
with a peg leg, looks good with those awful Fright Force heads, and looks good
with eye patch head, as well. Plus makes an excellent Castle fig for so many
other personalities, too. The tri-corner hat and the head that comes with this
fig in this set are also very useful.
I seem to have enough pistols, cutlass swords, gold coins, and Yellow goblets
at the moment, though. But Yellow plates are always on my want list.
This set does not have a treasure chest which is fine with me. The last time i
counted those damn things I had nearly a three digit number.
High time I called and ordered some of these little sets.
It may very well be the last time North American Shop At Home has any Pirate
set listed in the catalog.

I have a few extra Dark Gray Anchors I am willing to trade. I am looking for
some of the items below.
Silver Armor (conquistador) 1-1
Knight Face Shield (Black) 2-1
UFO Insectesoid Shoulderpads (2 Black,1 Gray) 3-1
Other Castle Armor Helms 3-1
Ice Planet Visors 4-1
I have 10 Anchors I am willing to part with. I am not willing to sell these
pieces because of their high trade value. Please E-mail me if you are
interested.
Thanks,
Matt
Note: (1-1 = 1x for 1 Anchor)
