Just spoke with Deanne M. Olson, CMP* of LEGOLAND California and they are
very interested in helping us (me & Suz) have our a wedding at LEGOLAND!
She said they've never hosted a wedding before, but that everyone there
(including the PR director :-) was excited about the idea and that they
could help come up with some special touches.
A date isn't set, but we want it to be this year and so it will probably be
November or December. One neat thing about November is that the park closes
one our earlier (at 5 p.m.) than in September/October, which means that any
evening get-togethers that might happen could begin a bit earlier, if anyone
would like to attend. And she said that construction of a tent in the
Beginning Area would be completed by December 1, and that a reception could
be held in Miniland!
We haven't yet visited LEGOLAND California so this is especially exciting
for us!
OK, just had to share the fun news!

WOW! That is so cool, Todd! Personally, I won't even go to weddings anymore
unless they're A weddings. B weddings just don't have the same quality acting,
sound or lighting that I've come to expect. ;^D
All excruciating nitpicking aside, really that is very very cool. Congrats!

Todd,
If you don't mind I am sure there are several of us here in the area that
would love to attend (However I am sure both Dave Johann and I would look
horrible in brides maid dresses). Just keep us posted, congradulations and
good luck. If you need any help with anything please let me know, I am sure
that I am much closer to San Diego than you.

WOW! What an opportunity, for you two and for them.
I'd say they're excited! This could even make a "special interest"
story
on National news!
Also, if all Lugnet members are invited, think of the gifts you two
would get!

Not quite all of it.. :)
The B wedding really takes place when the legal docs are signed and filed at a
county facility, which can be filled with politicians.. which are extremely
good at B acting, smoke and mirrors.
Yet this really rocks! I haven't read what others have said yet, but are
people going to throw white 1x1 and 1x2 plates instead of rice?

Damn! I was looking for an excuss to get my wife out to LEGOLand but I fear
that might be to close to when the baby comes and we will be hunkered down
pretty tight I imagine. Otherwise I would make every effort to be there.
I guess I will just have to wait till the baby is old enough to appretiate it.

Congratulations!
It's about time you two made honest figs of one another.
If you're thinking of inviting guests, I would like to attend if at all
possible. (not that I'm trying to invite myself - banish the thought)
But since I do own one fairly decent suit, it would be nice to be able to use
it for something - besides filling a plastic suit bag and taking up closet
space. :-)
Of course, setting a firm date would be helpful for planning on time off.
And I'm not *too* far away in Phoenix, so the drive is bearable.
Just thought I'd ask...

No they don't throw plates, because the birds eat them all, get very
bloated, and crash into the boat-pools.
It was even worse when they tried spamcake.

Ah yes, a white LEGO wedding dress for Suz and a black LEGO tux for Todd.
Hmmm, maybe Forest Wench for Suz, and Blacktron for Todd. Nah.... Nah,
Guarded Inn Maiden for Suz and Timmy for Todd. Yep, that's the ticket. :')

Congrats Todd and Suzanne.
If the previous email was an open invitation to attend, you can
certainly bet I will try to be there. Just be sure to announce a firm
date.
If you'd like, I can also start constructing a large scale wedding-cake
outta all my extra white LEGO bricks (seriously, I will).

Congratulations!
We just returned from a trip that included 2 days at LEGOLAND California,
and I can say you're gonna love it! I took almost 300 pictures at LEGOLAND
(the Grand Caynon only got 138). I *LOVE* my Mavica FD-91 digital camera.

Congratulations Todd and Suz;
If your post was indeed an open invitation to attend, I might just be able to
make it. I should be shipped out to Seattle around mid-October and this would
be a great excuse to take a trip down to southern California.
PS I can only imagine that you'll be registering at S@H!!!

Hey, congratulations! What an event to finish the year on. Ah, the benefits
of having a *Lego significant other* (in each other, no less) -- what fun!
=)
I would like to attend the festivities also (time permitting, of course -- the

occasion would give me that extra special reason to go to legoland for the
first time ever.

Scott, Do you have any idea how scary this mental image actually is? I'd
much mather put minifig me in a bridesmaid dress. He wouldn't look

Craig Hamilton to do the cake decortions perhaps?
(In the Uk - Seems to be a traditon to have a cake with figures on it.)

but don't become too much of a PR novelty. You need some privacy.

Congratulations(again)!
Some thoughts (but of course it is your day..)
English/US or Danish style ceromony?
(It seems the danes (or at least the scandanavians) had some different
traditions to US.)
Minfigs on cake? (or indeed an entire Lego(R) cake!!!)
Hope these sugestions are useful to you. If not, Sorry!

Todd and Suzanne,
Congratulations and best wishes to you both as you enter a new phase of your
relationship. Having the ceremony makes you look at the other person with a
different perspective....and it's a good one.
If you do post the date, I'd like to help represent the LUGNET community in

Congratulations Todd and Suz!
I must admit I am very surprised. You two have always been linked in my
mind. I just assumed you were married. Your affection and devotion to each
other is obvious even to the most casual observer (like me).
A Legoland wedding sounds sounds really delightful. Perfect start! I
have a vison of you two grinning ear to ear surrounded by hundreds of Lugnet
AFOL all wearing their white Lugnet tees.
Then there will be the stay at homes (like me) following the live webcam
feed of this event (hint hint).
I envision a trip to Legoland about the time my AARP discount kicks in. Not
too much longer ;-) ! They do have one don't they?
My best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together,

Not only had I assumed you guys were married, but I also figured that
LEGOLand weddings were not un-heard-of. If any two people should
be married at LEGOLand, it's you guys. Congratulations!
You realize we're all going to assume we're invited unless/until

Okay, the anticipation is killing me!
I'm not trying to be pushy, but if anyone would like to attend, they probably
should be purchasing their airline tickets, like, real soon now. Have you two
set a date yet?

I think right now we're thinking sometime in January, but no firm date set yet.
