Hi all,
Again a new model from my side. Allthough I built this model somewhere at the
end of 2005 I now add it to my website. Taking pictures of models always take
more time than expected and I also wanted an extra tractor to carry. Yes, its
an old fashioned towing truck equiped with a Holmes 750. Its based on a
bonneted Scania 141 from the late 70s.
You can read all about it on my website: www.dennisbosman.nl
Any questions or comments are always welcome.
Best regards
Dennis Bosman

(for Lino...) Model Vehicle Builders Rejoice!
My name is Lino (AtomicBuilder on Brickshelf) and Im pleased to announce that I
am the Coordinator for a new theme at NWBrickCon called ModelTeam Motors. If you
are inclined to build realistic looking, larger-than-minifig scale vehicles that
resemble the Model Team sets of yore, then this is the category for you.
Here is an old Model Team set
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1485184
Here are a few samples of MOCs that I have done that fit within this category.
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=248180
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=261915
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=180240
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=218105
Just because I specialize in retro hot rods, bikes, and customs doesnt mean you
have to. All vehicles are welcome within this category, whether they be retro or
modern, so long as they are larger than minifig scale and have that model team
look. Also, this category is not limited to just road vehicles, so if you have
that bi-plane, speedboat, or rider mower you are just itching to build, then
have it done by Brickcon in October and it will be proudly displayed within this
category.
One key note is Technic vehicles (that look like Technic vehicles) still remain
in their own category. They work phenomenally but do not have a realistic model
team look. Sure you can have what looks like a Chevy big block engine under the
hood but it doesnt have to actually work like one in order to fit in this
theme.
So bring those jaw-dropping cool model vehicles to NWBrickcon. Let me know you
are doing so by emailing me at linotopia@hotmail.com (by Oct. 4th please) so
that I can ensure room for your MOCs.
NWBrickCon is an annual Lego convention and exposition in the Seattle Area.
NWBrickCon 2007 will be October 5, 6, and 7 at the Seattle Center
Pavilion. For more information, visit

... Any chance of an ldraw file? ...
|
Yes, I sent you an email (adress as seen here on LUGNET) and added it also to
the BS-folder of the model. For anyone, who will have a look at it:
- it is not meant for an instruction, so the submodels and steps seem to be a little stupid sometimes.
- the pink parts are dull silver in the real model.
- I use an old unofficial version of the 1x1x1/3-slope (50746), which might have a wrong direction.
Thank you for your comment
Andreas

That is pretty sweet, when I saw the thumbnail my first though was that isnt a
photo? :)
Now it just needs a couple of anthropomorphic cats in it, a case of moonshine in
the back, and it could be featured in Lackadaisy (prohibition era webcomic).

Very nice! The front grill is one of the aspects that stands out to me. Very
well done! Nicely colored as well.
