Ottawa The capital city of the Dominion of Canada
Formerly known as Bytown, named after Lt-Colonel John By who built the Rideau Canal. Ottawa was incorporated in 1855 and chosen as the Capital of the Province of Canada (which included Upper and Lower Canada, parts of what are now Ontario and Quebec) by Queen Victoria in 1857.
In the spring of 2001, ParLUGment was founded by Jude Beaudin and Tim Strutt, bringing a LEGO Users Group to this beautiful capital.
