  Peladofigphobia

Do you find the appearance of a minifig with no hat, hair, or helmet to be unsettling? Do you find your minifigs to be incomplete without something covering that top stud? When veiwing the creations of others, do you find the appearance of a (...) (18 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX) !!

(...) Yes, yes I am. In fact, I have to stop myself, (often) from offering to send misc hats and hair pieces to the owner of creations that leave head studs exposed. Janey "Red Brick" (18 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Hello! (...) So am I. (...) I wouldn't go so far to call them poor builders. However, I deny them the sense of aesthetics. It's even worse if somebody builds a train and the passengers are bald Space figs and Castle figs. Bye Jojo (18 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

--SNIP-- (...) Perhaps the train is being ridden by a bunch of aging AFOLs. Tim (18 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) I used to and I still do if its a yellow fig head (or #shudder# pink head) However when the fig is clearly wearing headcoverings due to the printing such as this little fellah <img (URL) then its all ok -- James Stacey www.minifig.co.uk (18 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) Yes, Yes, and Yes! (...) I too am a peladofigphobiac. And it's unfortunate, because my sigfig has to wear his hat a lot more than I do. I don't have enough on top to use a hair piece, but I certainly don't have a stud on my head. (2 URLs) Tony (...) (18 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) Eek, but then you can see {inside} his head to where his brains should be! While bald solid-studded minifig heads are bad enough, those poor souls who lost their brains through the holes in the tops of their heads are pitiable. Chris (...) (18 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

Dude, the Mace Windu minifig wants to have a serious conversation with you. Dave S. (18 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) No, you are absolutely right .. What was I thinking.. figs without their head studs covered are indecent. Thanks for setting me straight :) -- James Stacey www.minifig.co.uk (18 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

I read that as Pedalofigphobia, something completely different. Tim (18 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) That is exactly why I like the belville figs more. At least they don't have that silly stud on their heads.. .. Well, there are also some other reasons.. But indeed, a minifig without something on their heads is a poor show, and not very (...) (18 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Having seen the shear amount of creativity that is being put in to MOC's, I consider these to be a form of art. So, as long as the baldness is fuctional, I have no problem with it :-) With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen. (18 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) I USED to be. When Spider-Man came out, I thought it was sort of, well, WRONG looking. But after drawing all the AFOLs comic, and having a main character "bald," it all seems normal to me. Spider-Man is fine, Mace Windu is fine, the soccer (...) (18 years ago, 11-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)
