In the original post I made a couple of days ago, I mentioned that LEGO has agreed to find some ways to help make this transition smoother. There has been some discussion about items that would be important to lock into the old colors, including some specific parts selections. There has been some discussion that it’s time to move on and focus on building up stocks of the new colors.

I’d love to hear from you what your choice would be, and what parts you consider “priority” for either solution.

I’ll just repost what I listed here:

This is what I would like to see continue to be sold in the original colors:
  • current brick packs (#10145-#10147)

  • current plate packs (#10148-#10150) with the addition of 1x1 plates and ‘L’ plates (I forgot to mention: 1x1 and 2x2 round plates)

  • an arches and slopes pack: would include various arches, and slopes/inverse slopes in 33°, 45°, and 75°

  • a bits and bobs pack: would include tiles (1x1 to 1x8), as well as headlight bricks, “dalek” bricks, and various modified tiles and plates (especially the 1x2 with one stud) (I forgot to mention: 1x1 and 2x2 round bricks)
Alternatively, to cut down on SKU’s, three original-color tubs containing all the above parts would be great.
  • the 48x48 baseplate in light grey

  • all Legends of sets originally released before the color change
I’m not really concerned with specialty parts (doors, weapons, etc.) in the original colors, because I am more focused on the parts that can be used across all themes.

I don’t care what parts are released in the new colors, as I won’t be purchasing them. Thanks for listening, Jake.

Wow, what a crazy couple of days! 250 posts on a thread I started. I'm not sure where to feel shamed or proud. (I know, I know, all I should feel these days is shame) Since my fireproof suit is beginning to strain under the pressure, I'm going to (...)
