| Some time ago, I made a fire elemental
using several trans-orange dragon wings.
Now that someone made a DAT file for the dragon wing,
I've been able to encode my fire elemental
into L-CAD. I've created an image,
using my DAT file and MLCAD.

Also, I used L3P to ray-trace this model
(I had to jury-rig a "#define" for the trans-orange color;
I think it worked rather well).

Later on, I hope to figure out how to *animate*
the ray-tracing (having it rotate in place).
If I succeed, I'll post that also. ;-)
As usual, please LMKWYT.
Thanks,
Franklin

Ooooh! Nice job!
I can't quite make out in the picture, is that a m-f head on top of that, or
another 1x1 trans brick? I think it would be nice to put the clear head (as in
the FK m-f pack) on top of that... or is that just me? Personally, I see the
elementals as part-human (er, minifig) so having m-f body parts seems
reasonable... like the water elemental I posted today.
On another note, Franklin: you've posted a whole lot of CW MOCs in the past
several weeks. If you could, send them to me at <castle_world@hotmail.com> and
I'll add them to the temporary CW site. Sounds OK?
(I'm working on adding two new members right now... my HTML coding is rusty,
haven't done a thing for over two years. :-)
Good night!

Well, adding a Trans Orange MF head wouldn't be too difficult. the proper color
head comes in 2 varieties in the UFO kits. Currently, the easiest way to pick up
such a head is to deal with someone who snatched up the Shell promotion UFO
Zipper http://www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=2543 The other head is only
available in the larger craft.
Ask LA-based people about this quickly, though. The promotion is at it's end and
many of the sets are beoming tough to find, this set included. Don't know who's
LA-based? Check http://www.lugnet.com/org/us/lugola/ or http://www.lugnet.com/

The Construction Site has had the UFO Flyer mini-set off and on for a while, also.

Any idea when these two new members will be up on the site? Also, have other
people sent you things yet to add to the site? I would really like to see
some new things there.

Sorry it's been taking me a while... I'll get to work on it right now, yessir.

<grin> <sigh> Me too, but other than the two members, there haven't been any
additions. It's too bad, people have made lots of stuff that isn't up there
but haven't been adding it... I can't take it without their consent. :-(

Go to:
http://www.geocities.com/castle_world_temp/
or directly to:
http://www.geocities.com/castle_world_temp/members.html
Where you'll find two new members, Cj and Nathan. And I'll add Tamy
tomorrow... I promise... I'm just dying right now. Really. Need sleep.
LMK if any coding is off... I tried to double-check everything, but it's 2 AM.

P.S. do me a fave and send me some new stuff, guys... it might not seem that
way, but I'm craving for some HTML practicioning. Again, the email for CW
submissions is (quite easy...)

Nope, if I understand your question correctly,
the piece on top is a fourth 2x2 round brick.
The pieces used are:
One Grey 6x6 plate
One Red 2x2 plate w/ turntable
Four Trans-Orange 2x2 round bricks
12 Red 1x1 plates w/ clip
12 Trans-Orange Dragon Wings
I got the set of four Trans-Orange 2x2 round bricks
from an X-Wing set.
Thanks,
Franklin
