What is everyone's favorite castle minifig (standard or custom)??  I
personally like my Scorpion Knights:  Stingray torso, dark grey legs with
black belt, red arms with black hands, and grey bullet helmet.  I have managed
to build entire armies of custom figs, and my interest in them has recently
been sparked again because of the picture Dave Eaton sent in of his band of
barbarians and the army of the owner of the Strombrachter site (the Dark
Archers look cool).  Any other pics of custom minifigs?  Whatever happened to
Bob Goldberg's "Mostly Minifigs" site?

Wow, that's tough!  My favorite "official" minifigs include:
- the maiden with the white hat
- the Crusader princess from the King's Mountain Fortress
- the Black Knight and the two similar knights from the Dungeon Master's castle
- Black Falcon minifigs from the Sea Serpent
- all the Dark Forest figs

I could go on and on.  :)

As for my favorite custom figs, I'll be scanning and posting them soon.  I hope
to start a little Castle site.  At first it'll just be custom figs but I'll be
adding pics of the buildings I've built, as well as a history for my kingdom,
as my access to a scanner and whatnot becomes more consistent.

Whatever happened to Bob Goldberg's "Mostly Minifigs" site?

I don't know.  I'd love to see it if it's still up!

I don't know that I have a fav "standard" fig, nut I've got a
couple'o'customized figs (no painting used) that I recently designed, that I
like a lot. Like Rick, scans to my (theoritical) website will be coming
sometime, but meanwhile a quick description:

Scarlet, a.k.a Scar - dressed in the torso of the infamous "pizza babe", with
red legs, a "lipstick" face + straight red hair, Scarlet is rumored to be able
to talk with animals - which might not be far from the truth. She is nicknamed
Scar for the scarred hearts (of men ;-) that she leaves behind wherever she
goes... and also because she has a scar on her right hand, represented by a
white glove. (on that hand only - the other one she seems to be losing all the
time, but some nice gentleman always brings it back ;-)

I also have Felix, a forest dweller, and my new armies + royal families are
being prepared, (see my post on "minifig races"), 'specially since I bought
6091 yesterday, (1) so new faces will be popping up soon!

-Shiri

(1) Bliss! I love the figs and the castle is satisfactory enough. BTW, I don't
know why you're all complaining 'bout the new castle walls. They're not as
good as half-oct would've been, but I can see some uses for them.

I love seeing unique creations and the favorites that I have made are mostly my
rulers.

My Black Knight King is all black (including hands) scruffy brown beard with
king crown, armor and darth maul's black cape.  He is riding a black mount with
the blue and black cover on the horse.  He carrys a standard black knight
shield and a black bird sits on his forarm.  His main weapon is a septer made
from a lightsabre hilt and an underwater series spear both shiney silver
plated.  Currently he has one personal guard.  The chess king torso and head
with black legs black helmet riding horse with standard black knight shield and
sword and the large black knight flag attached to a black lance on the saddle.
More personal guards when they come available as pieces from new castle
series.

Each theme's king is slightly different from standard design.  Some more
standard than others.  Biggest change to rank and file soldiers is the Royal
Knight soldiers wearing conquestidor helmets.

I don't get that reference. I would have, but I haven't gotten around to
learning any French words yet. (that IS french, right? I get them mixed
up... good thing Switzerland is between them, eh? At least I think it
is. I suppose I could go look them up on a map. Maybe tomorrow.)
