Hi all,
Well a 3 day weekend does wonders for your side projects. I've decide to
release a partially finished version of my L3P error fixer and post processer.
Right now you can only fix errors and generate L3P files. You can download it
here:
http://ldraw.pobursky.com/files/L3PEnhancer.zip
Please test it out. Put it through its paces and try to cause the program to
fail. If you find any errors or things you think are confusing, are just plain
wrong, or could be done better, please let me know. Also let me know if you run
into any compatibility issues between Windows versions. Happy playing.
-Orion
P.S. I think L3P Enhancer is a stupid name but I can't think of anything more
appropriate. If you can suggest a better name, I'll use it and give you credit.

Ok, ok, sorry to anyone who couldn't run this program. I have no idea why the
qtinf70.dll is needed to run L3P Enhancer, it shouldn't be needed at all. I'm
investigating the reason why. In the mean time, here's an installer that will
allow you to run L3P Enhancer:

You're using Delphi 7, right?
You have some time during your development dropped a component from the CLX
library on your form. Even if the component is not there any more, the file
name will still be in your 'uses' clause. Search all the files in your
project for 'qt...' and remove any references.
If, OTOH, you are striving for portability to linux (via Kylix), you should
stop all use of the VCL library, and only use CLX components...

Ok, I've uploaded a fix for this. Download it using the above link.

Thanks for the assistance but I already investigated that avenue. I'm using
some components from the JEDI VCL Library and I'm fairly certain these are
causing the qtinf70.dll to be required (though I still don't know why since we
used the same components for LDDP until we converted to CLX).
As far a CLX is concerned, I don't like it. It's poorly written, bug laden and
I'm sure Borland knows that it is but hasn't released any updates or fixes for
any of the many issues with this library (Hoping instead, I suppose, to milk us
out of upgrade money when they release the next version of Delphi. Such is
capitalism.). So, in a sentence: I will not in the forseeable future be
releasing a Linux version of my program. If and when Borland decides to fix the
myriad of issues in CLX, I'll port over. Trust me, I'd like to see a Linux
version if only to promote more users to use my work.
(Sorry for the rant but I've been needing to say that for quite some time)

It looks very promising!
A little, little annoyance brings the Select LGEO Directory that pops up at
every start, since I don't use LGEO.

If you want to verify this, you might try Dependency Walker, available in the
following location:
http://www.dependencywalker.com/
It shows you a list of all the dendencies that an executable has, along with
highlighting any missing ones. It's very handy for tracking down these kind of
things.

Maybe there's a conditional defined in the wrong (CLX) way for the JVCL?

You're welcome :-)
I'm not a linux user myself, I was just parroting the info from the Borland
news groups. BTW, I'm sure I saw a post some weeks ago about qtintf70.dll
there! Try Google (if you haven't already).
