Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Jeffery MacEachern
I'm not announcing any particular MOC, but I've just updated my BS Gallery with steriograms (those 3-d eye-crossing pictures) of a bunch of my MOCS. Please note that these aren't like "magic eye" pics, where some indiscernable shape pops out - these (...)         Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Joe Meno
(...) Cool! Another recommendation would be to make these parallel-view stereograms - those can viewed through a stereoscope, or by a person who stares past the art...the eyes need to be parallel. Thanks! I've been wondering when someone would be (...) (18 years ago, 8-May-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —David Eaton
(...) True, it's usually nice to have both. It's too bad that you lose so much detail with most parallel views, though, since most people's eyes don't diverge beyond a certain distance. (...) I think Todd did these long ago-- he actually is the one (...) (18 years ago, 8-May-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Joe Meno
(...) I'll need to take a look at these tonight - whatis potentially neat about stereograms is that the scalee can be manipulated by changing the distance between cameras - the wider the gap the smaller the scale. i want to see pics done with a (...)          Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Timothy Gould
--SNIP-- (...) Hi Joe, I've not forgotten you asked me to do that a while back. I've just been completely busy with other things. I even got a really cool povray macro that does proper stereo (as opposed to the slightly cheated stereo you get by (...) (18 years ago, 8-May-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Joe Meno
(...) That's really great! And being busy is something I completely understand - I can't say that I have relaxed:-) This thread brought up the use of vignettes for stereograms, which is another really neat possibilty. Looking forward to your pix! (...) (18 years ago, 8-May-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Ley Ward
(...) It's nice to see others working in the stereogram field. You may have missed this: (2 URLs) Also (URL) here.> I'm not sure about minifig scale spacing for the camera, but I shall do some experimentation. Jeffery, do you have a special lense (...)           Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Jeffery MacEachern
(...) Yeah - I think that would be cool, but I wouldn't know exactly how to do it. (...) Do be honest, that was just a coincidence - I just knew that that vig was somewhat popular, so I decided to make a stereogram of it. Ley, I like yours - I saw (...)           Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Joe Meno
(...) Place the camera on a track and move the camera a tiny fraction (the minifig eye gap) and take two pics. (...) Agreed - I remember seeing this a while ago! The great thing about a vignette is that an observer can literally get into a scene (...) (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Aaron M. Sneary
These are really cool. Lots of fun (...) Without my glasses I basically see in parallel. So these come very easy to me. One thing I've noticed, the small amount of white space between the photos makes the stereogram clearer (but requires more (...)        (...) I suppose that's the proverbial "silver lining" :) Can you see them clearly w/o your glasses, though? (...) Interesting... (...) I think you're right about the BG - because it gives the space depth, as opposed to just the model; it makes it (...) (18 years ago, 10-May-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

In lugnet.space, Travis Cobbs wrote: snip (...) Really cool! The background and foreground elements really make this scene work. What's really neat is how the transparency is seen through the windshield. Nice work - and I'm a wall-eye! Joe (18 years ago, 11-May-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Travis Cobbs
(...) LDView gives you the option of "Cross-eyed" viewing or "Parallel" viewing. The former (which is default) appears to be what you used, and is somewhat self-explanatory: to view the images in 3D, cross your eyes so that your right eye is focused (...)          Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Jeffery MacEachern
(...) Hey Tim, Looks great! I'm not completely clear on what you were trying to accomplish - but it looks like you were able to do it. I've tried the steriogram, and it's quite impressive. How would you replicate this in LDView? It doesn't have (...) (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Joe Meno
(...) And this is what I would like to see some exploration on...what would it look like to see a train lineup as a minifig? Or spacecraft? Tim, your subway stations would be great places to try this! Joe (18 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Timothy Gould

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Jeffery MacEachern
(...) I totally agree, Tim. Feels like you're actually in the station, at minifig scale. Now if you could get that effect on LCD-display glasses in real-time video - that would be sweet. (18 years ago, 11-May-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Stereograms of my Space and Vignette MOCs —Jeffery MacEachern

If you adjust the angle of the pens, and the distance, and (...) (18 years ago, 18-May-06, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)
