  Re: What is Znap?

Argh. I just replied to this via mail, because Colin mailed me his posting without any indication that it was a post to the newsgroup To everyone, PLEASE do not send me mail copies of your posts. Tres unuseful. I'll see your post and respond, there (...) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

(...) You're right. It does look useful for that sort of thing. It's just...Not Lego, you know? It used to be Tyco, Ritvik, etc. copied Lego. Now Lego is copying Erector, Tinker-Toys, Ramagon, Construx, etc? Just gives me an icky feeling inside, the (...) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: What is Znap?

(...) Think out of the box, please. Znap is tres useful for large engineering structures. Anyone who doesn't want their Znap is invited to drop me a line, perhaps we can work something out. (24 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: What is Znap?

(...) I got a few small sets on sale in Rotterdam when I was visiting my sister. I think I'd describe Znap as a cross between Technic Lego and Construx (I'm not sure if Construx was ever available in Sweden). It's basically a node-and-beam building (...)   What is Znap?

What is Znap? I've never seen it here in Sweden. Is it a theme or something? --Tobias (24 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: 8448 Flexible Axles (was Re: Parts from 8448 not LDrawn)

(...) Ah! Thank you, Wayne. (...) From the rumblings in lugnet.loc.uk, it doesn't seem likely -- people only appreciate Znap when it's on clearance. :-/ Steve (24 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: 8448 Flexible Axles (was Re: Parts from 8448 not LDrawn)

(...) There were flexible axles in the Znap (motorized) sets. But they are much different than the ones in the 8448. The ones in Znap are "drive" axles, they allow the motor to be in one orientation and the item(s) driven to be in another. It uses a (...)   8448 Flexible Axles (was Re: Parts from 8448 not LDrawn)

[FUT lugnet.cad.dev] Can anyone confirm or deny that the flexible axles in the 8448 Supercar were first released in Znap sets? Thanks! Steve (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.technic, lugnet.znap)

  znap on sale...

I have seen most znap sets on sale in germany this week. TRU has them for 50%-75% off. For example the large set 3591 which is usually around US$75 is now available for only US$25, what a low price. Nearly the same thing for all other Znap sets. (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.znap)

(...) Whoa, you are right, that is pretty damn cool, and big too. Call LSAH and check if it out yet. Usually if its on the site, they can get it for you. Good luck and let me know how it comes out. Jason F. (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.technic)

  ZNAP 3582 Insect

Take a look at (URL). I live in the US, and have not actually seen any ZNAP sets before. From the pictures, most ZNAP sets look ugly to me. However, I have read several posts on lugnet.robotics praising on the nice qualities of this new building (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-99, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.technic)

  Re: ZNAP Adverts in UK

  Re: ZNAP Adverts in UK

The second wave of ZNAP releases came a couple of months back with six new sets in total. Tesco is the only place I've seen 'em though... (unless you take a look on LEGO's web site). I posted re this a couple of weeks back. Apparently, it was a good (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.znap)

  ZNAP Adverts in UK

There seems to be a spate of Lego adverts in the UK at the moment! Out of the ones that I've seen - Supercar, Droid Dev Kit, Town(city), etc.. the ZNAP one is the most interesting, as in, why advertise something that was a one-off test in the (...)   Re: which one

The 3552 or the 3571 are really good value. Both have motors, flex axels, and good wheels. My local Argos was selling these cheap at the weekend. Scott A Chris Magno wrote in message <38012E18.5BDE96F0@home.com>... (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.znap)
