Much to my surprise, Racers are kind of cool!!!!!!!! (4567 Surfer)

RACERS have LEGO studs on 'em! They have two cool decorated Spaceish elements. The driver is a 2x2 brick and can be used as a little gargoyle. I used the car brick on a Castle tower MOC today, so it is not useless! You just gotta be creative with (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.year.2001)

The Toy Book's report on LEGO 2001 (U.S.)

I really don't know what's news here anymore, but after doing some LUGNET searches, I didn't see any sign of some unusual words in this report I have. This is from the toy retailer industry magazine, "The Toy Book," which reports on toy companies, (...) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.duplo, lugnet.general)

  Re: AW MAN!

(...) Sigh... Why take Jack Stone to mean that its a bad thing for Town? Maybe this is actually a good thing. Many of us have taken Town Jr. to be TLC "transition" theme from Duplo to System, now Jack Stone is taking that niche. Maybe, just maybe, (...)   Re: Official pictures of new 2001 Legos

(...) No, they're creator-scale figs from the Jack Stone line. Bigger than minifigs, with the same articulation. I beleive I've heard that the feet of these figs are two studs long, if that gives you any sense of scale to regular figs (whose feet (...)   AW MAN!

You know, back when we thought that LEGO would stop the town theme, we said that even town junior was better than no town at all. Then they realeased Jack Stone, probably just to annoy us. Dont we hate ourselves now? NICK :^L~ (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.town)

(...) Uhm, isn't it BMW that owns Land Rover nowadays? Anyway, the model probably captures the look of most modern SUV's. Except for the wheels, of course, which are by far oversized! Fredrik (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2001)

(...) Wow...that model looks quite impressive; I think I see a transmission switch between the two seats and those tires look like the huge 8457 Power Puller rear ones.
