  Spirit on Mars

Also of note, transparent red and green bricks (specifically the larger windshield pieces) make great 3D glasses for viewing 3D mars images: (URL) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-04, to lugnet.year.2004)

  Re: New 2004 Sets!

(...) I need some bricks similar to the blue transperant panels (socalled train windows), to get a right stripe on trains, meaining similar colour, bur not transperant. This seems like it might be it. A few days ago I was searching peeron and did (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2004)

  Re: New 2004 Sets!

(...) I think Harry is flesh toned. After the Cloud City set was announced and shown at Brickfest 2003, the LEGO representatives said that LEGO would be doing more accurate skin-toning of all licensed characters. But who knows how long it will take (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2004)

  Re: New 2004 Sets!

<snip> (...) I counted 2 out of 7 sets to be Jack Stone. I think it's a good idea--especially with younger children that like Spiderman, but don't have the assembly skills or patience to build the system sets--not to mention some families have kids (...)   Re: Biff has landed on Mars!

One can clearly see the DVD disc on the lander. See: (URL) The disc is in the middle lower portion of the picture (light circle shape) with the minifig (darker oval shape) clearly represented in the middle of the disc. The top of the DVD is facing (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.year.2004, FTX)

Re: Biff has landed on Mars!

(...) Glad you posted this, Eric! LEGO has actually done quite a lot with space exploration recently, and I'm sure once the LEGO PR department has had a chance to catch up they'll release some publicity. I hope so, anyway - it's a great tie-in, and (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.year.2004, FTX)

  Biff has landed on Mars!

Biff has landed on Mars The LEGO minifigure Biff has landed on Mars and became first "man" on the red planet. (URL) Biff Starling - or at least a picture of him - is on board the the rover which landed on Mars on Sunday morning after a seven months (...)   Re: New 2004 Sets!

(...) (URL) set looks (to me) like a set that is not done yet. I would have thought that the map of Hogwarts would be a decal piece with a custom image. The picture doesnt have great quality either which could result in the color of Harry's face. I (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2004)

  Re: New 2004 Sets!

~Jus' two more things: (URL) anyone get a good look @ the 'dark-cloaked' figure in the background between the train and the minifig on the right…nice! (URL) and here’s yet another set with a train in it that shows TLG’s commitment to the Rail-heads (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2004, lugnet.trains)
