Sorry to follow myself up: Interesting notes abound on the fbtb scans Tim kindly did of the 2001 brochure. 1) The top of the new TIE is a 4x4 radar with printing. Then again, the AT-ST side panels are 4x4 dishes too. 2) There is indeed a black (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

I think they meant to prevent a sequel with their models. And while the sequel was more or less not good and did come out, it doesn't look like it was created by the same team who did 2001.
