Re: TLC's WW Matter (was Re: Death of lugnet.western?) —Benjamin Ellermann
(...) I would also like more "ordinary life" sets. But you have to look at the history of the company. They know what works. What I find amazing about TLC is how little things have changed in the last 25 years. For example new "NASA" sets are coming (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.western)

Re: TLC's WW & Etc. Matter —Dean R. Hennen

Re: Got MOCs? ( wasTLC's WW & Etc. Matter) —Dean R. Hennen
(...) Hey, thanks very much! Well, I just want to say that I am working on a white schoolhouse. It'll probably be finished tomorrow. The pity is, I don't have anymore beige plates. So, I have to use regular green baseplates. Since this will be part (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.western, lugnet.build)

Re: TLC's WW & Etc. Matter —David Laswell
(...) In the Futurama series (greatest scifi show since B5), they have this running gag about celebrity heads being preserved, alive, in jars. His website is (URL) the reason why it is wearing a hat is that head-in-a-jars need head protection too. Thanks for telling me. Cheers (*clink*) Dean (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.western)

Re: TLC's WW Matter (was Re: Death of lugnet.western?) —Rick Clark
(...) Or, as TLC would probably refer to it, "the formula that is profitable." Actually, for a company as large as LEGO is, I'm surprised that they diversify into less profitable areas as much as they do (Legends, USC, Bulk, Mosaics). (...) <snip> (...)         Re: TLC's WW Matter (was Re: Death of lugnet.western?) —David Laswell
(...) Huh? The Town uber-theme has been one of the longest running themes in LEGO history, and most of it is oriented around "ordinary life". Well, if you count emergency services as being "ordinary". Town outlasted even the traditional Space and (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.western)
