Using a 20% discount I got from helping to save a local Toyworks from Safeway, I bought the Rock Raiders Headquarters, making me RR Complete. No, it is just a high intensity LED. It is the brightest orange LED I've seen, but was quite a bit dimmer than I had hoped. So of course I hacked one apart and put a _real_ laser pointer inside, although more than half the beam is blocked because of (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.underground)

It's just an LED (which does provide a pretty intense point source light, which is why they're used for instrumentation panels [well, that and the fact that they are cheap and last (...)
