Thanks for the comments and the complements about the SCLTC's latest layout.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed seeing our stuff and hope that it helps you
with a future project.  We look to other clubs, as well as to each other for
ideas when we take on a new section of the layout.  For example, the Sand
Castle appeared on a previous SCLTC layout in a playground setting, so it
seemed a natural that it would appear in our California Coastline scene.  So
I checked with the originator to see if it was OK if I copied her work for
placement at the beach.

Also, another great source of some ideas for the beach scene was Miniland at
Legoland California.  I stopped in to see what they had decorated the beach
with there and besides a sand castle being there, they provided me with the
idea for including the beach volleyball scene too.  So inspiration comes
from a variety of sources.

Thanks again for checking our website and posting your comments.  Be sure to
check the website in about 2 weeks as we hope to have more pics up by then.

Hi all -

SCLTC has just finished its latest show!

Can't believe I'm only the second one to post. Great great work!

Likewise, Excellent Layout!
SCLTC produces stuff that I really admire and aspire to.  I hope someday my
club (LUCNY) can consruct layouts half as good as SCLTC.

I am well known by now for copying stuff done by other train clubs.  The stuff
that SCLTC creates is just too good to be copied -- and I just don't have the
cash to buy that many bricks.  But, someday I will find just the right item to
copy from an SCLTC member.

PS -- to your webmaster -- With Netscape 4.7, the small text on the blue grid
is virtually impossbible to see on 1024 x 768 screen resolution.  More
correctly stated -- the Blue Grid covers the area with the descriptive text
making it unreadable.  Displays as intended on other browsers.
