(...) Wow - how can I reply to a comment like that? Superlatives fail me... Kudos! Fantastic! Great! Well Done! Congratulations! Bravo! Excellent! And next time, you'll probably do even better!! JohnG, GMLTC (27 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains)

Kevin Loch wrote in message ... (...) He did say it in a kind of kidding but more of a "smart ass" way. Also kept asking me if I had to wind them up before they'd run... ha! Thta is so great. I can just see the NMRA guy that gave you a hard time approaching you with head hanging quietly saying, "Well, that was good...I guess we have to give you a bigger space because no one could get past the crowds caused by your (...) (...) While that's good for us no matter what it means, I suspect that they like the way it occupies the kids freeing the adults to check out the "real stuff". Of course the reality is that we had more adults than childeren check out our display :) (...) (27 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: I think they're getting the message

(...) That is an excellent quote! It shows how much respect all the LTCs around the world are starting to get from the 'old-school' model railroading community! When the GMLTC was at last year's NMRA 'National' show, we got nothing but good (...) (27 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains.org)

I think they're getting the message

While I was setting up at the local NMRA train show here in Atlanta today, I heard an interesting comment that I thought yall would enjoy.
