There definitely are advanatges to both systems. I do like the barriers because not only do they minimize the reaching, they also contain train crashes. Finally managed to wrestle a day off and head on over to the Manatee County Civic Center...where Rob Werner had his layout set up, complete with an 'imagination table' where kids big and little could fiddle with bricks. If you are in Southern California and can make it to Balboa Park in San Diego, be sure to check out the SCLTC Layout at the San Diego Model RailRoad Museum. It's on public display for another 2 weeks, we've had to change our teardown date due to (...) I have to agree with Larry, in that the "charm" of the swap is the physical containers as well as the stickers, and knowing that the container itself traveled a great distance to be included in the layout. I am trying to make arrangements to be at BW. Waiting on a miracle in the funds dept. (Also looking for volunteers on this subject!)
