| | Re: 9V Train Motor Being Discontinued?
| (...) . . . . (...) I wish to add my $0.02 worth also I think this story can be told by many Rafe, just change the names and ages and you have summed up my history with Lego Trains as well. | | R/C Trains on Old 12V Track
| Hey, this is just a thought but has anyone tested the new R/C trains on the old 12V non-metal track? I would like to find out if the new trains work on the old track, since there is so much of the old track around. I guess another option is to swap (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains)

| | My 7722 4.5v conversion to 9v.
| (URL) have had the 7722 train set for some time and never realy used it. The motor works just fine but I wanted to run this train on the 9v track. So I started off with removing the 4.5v motor from the engine. (Luckly I have some of the red 4.5v (...) (22 years ago, 28-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

| | 9v vs 12v
| I am just getting back into Lego after a very very long hiatus. The recent photos from Brickfest and GATS have inspired me to invest in some Lego trains, so much so that I am selling off a sizable portion of my N-scale collection to finance the new (...) But, I think there is a more important piece . I don't know if I would (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.trains)

| (...) My thinking is collect all of them, 4.5, 9, and 12v. Buy the ones you like and skip the ones you don't. If you do collect different types of trains you may want to run them on the same track. If that is the case, and for me it is, then you may (...) (24 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

| (...) Here's a reality check. The way LEGO makes train track is realy just wrong. It's way more expensive than it needs to be. Result - LEGO really can't afford to keep producing the existing 9v track and hope to remain profitable. The way I see it, (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)
