  Re: Thalys and Hondekop Pics

Eric, I'm really impressed with your models and ideas as well as your presentation of them. I'm sure I'll learn a lot on your site. Out of curiosity, how do you pronounce "Thalys?" Is it a hard "th?" Is the "y" pronounced like an "i?" "A" as in (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) This thing totally rocks! I don't see much of the Space Police style going there save for the selection of colors, but it's a beautiful design. It is almost not worth mentioning, but I finally bought a "Light saber Duel" so I now have 4 long gray antennas. As I suspected, the long gray antennas make much better trolley poles than the gray lances. (URL) in case anyone was curoius. Chris (25 years ago, 30-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Having just returned from LL, I can say that Lar is right-- more like G scale. I can also say that the trains were probably the biggest disappoint of the park. Whoever built them knew little or nothing about engines and it showed:-( The rolling (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains)

You know, this might be worthwhile for all of us to pursue. If a hundred people joined the NMRA as Lego Train modellers, that could really turn some heads. Here's my story. I wanted a Lego train since I first saw the twelve volt trains many years ago. I never had them, but my dad is a model railroader, formerally HO but now N scale, so I had a lot of railroading experience growing up. Last week, I was (...)
