(...) 3 actually. I won't ask my customers what I wouldn't accept myself. Brasso is YOUR friend, but not mine. :-) Dont take that as a condemnation of your practice, merely a statement of my preference. ++Lar (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Actually I have yet to remove any paint from my pieces... But we also can't spend as much as Lar on LEGO each year. ;-) Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

        Re: Question —James Powell
(...) Brasso is for those of you who lack nailpolish remover. It works better, just soak for a few min, and out it comes clean. (acetone, or the replacements...works great on printed parts, that's how I cleaned up my MF's for the LUGNET stickers+ (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

        Re: Question —Erik Olson
Hey guys, Ask for "Sally Hansen(R)" No More Mistakes(tm) MANICURE CLEANUP STICK. It's not perfectly effective (leaves behind some bumpy buildup even after the color has dissolved away) but it can quickly remove Star Wars printing from 1x1 green (...)          Re: Question —Erik Olson
Uh-- This is a like a hard-nibbed felt tip pen with solvent in it. Took about 20 seconds of rubbing on a 1x1 tile to get it clean. Leaves behind a shiny outline of where the print was. (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I tried that tonight and my head melted! :-( I think I'll try brasso next time. Sigh... -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

        Re: Question —Kevin Wilson
(...) I re-tried nail polish remover (having unsuccessfully tried it awhile back) and it didn't do anything at all, even left soaking overnight. James, what brand were you using? The only things I have found that work are brake fluid (on trans (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

        Re: Question —Paul Rutenberg
Hello I found something to take the paint off by mistake, i had somme white doors from Model team that had turned yellow from the sun,(thought it was smoke, oh well), i had a bottle of plastic polish i use for my Motorcycle windshield, well it took (...)         Re: Question —Kevin Wilson
(...) Paul, did the paint come off by soaking in the polish, or did you have to rub? If so, sounds similar to Brasso. I really want something which requires less elbow grease (my hands are already @^%*& enough without sitting polishing pieces by (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

        Re: Question —Paul Rutenberg
Hi Kevin Yes like Brasso, you do have to rub a bit, but not as much, i found to be quicker and i think safer. Paul (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)
