And another must-seen-MOC for John Neal and other 8-wides...

Hey, that is a great switcher. I noticed that it had an 8/5 wide set up • too.[1]
I think the mix of 5 wide hoods with 8 wide cabs looks great. Unfortunately, I
think that this is going to make 1x2-center-stud plates harder to come by.
It looks like the magnet is attached to the frame of the engine and not the
bogie. Does this cause problems when negotiating curves?

I don't know and I even do not have the e-mail of the builder of the engine.
:-(
I just wanted to share the pictures and do some promotion for the
www.1000steine.de galleries.

By the way, Ben it is great that you announce these posts, but should we ask
questions? I am guessing that you are announcing the new models because the
creators don't frequent LUGNET, and if they do not read LUGNET, then there
really isn't any reason to ask about the details. Just checking.

In this case it is right, but in most case the builders are daily online, but
never in Lugnet, but only in the German Forum under 1000steine. If you have a
"urgent" request, feel free to ask there: 99% of the Germans should be able to
read a english posting.

1. My new 8-wide SD40-2 has an 8-hide cab with a 5 wide hood.

And it looks great indeed!

Ben
