Help building my own Train Base —Dean Husby
I'm sorry if this has been asked before but... I'm attempting to create a 6x24 train base. (Exactly like the engine plate but in Yellow) I'm having trouble creating the mount for the engine.      Dean- Here is how I'd do it: (URL) use the layer on the right for the bottom, and the one on the left on top of it. Since I build 8 wide, I need to make custom wagon plates all the time. I mount a 2 by 4 technic plate underneath to support the bogie pin. Note that (...) (25 years ago, 27-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) hole plate but with the trim the wheel sets would not turn they hit the trim... Dean (25 years ago, 27-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) There are other plates around the technic plate to make it easy for the bogie to turn. They butt up to the 1 by x yellow trim plates. This allows the bogie to pivot past the trim plate. (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)
