Nice idea I like seeing yards in layouts. Even better if you can get some
automation on switching and de-coupling.
My only beef is with the switch layout. We see so many layouts where the design
on the switch points is basic. I would rather see more variation. Parallel lines
work well be mix it up a bit.
As the sidings are not a closed loop, you can do so much more without having to
worry about track ending at the same length or angle.
For example, I really like the look of the parallel rail being closer together
just by putting the single curve on the straight side of the switch point.

I have a track designer file with heaps of neat tricks if anyone wants to see
it? It might help you ideas flow.
