This era coach can go both ways actually, diesel or steam. As Larry sugeested
the element selection in medium orange is very limited, the F7s would be hard to
model in real Brick, even though I love them. So I have been planning on a black
steamer. Since these coaches where making the Rockies and Mofet Tunnel run;
Denver to Salt Lake, it wouild be fitting for a bigger articulated engine. So I
have my sights set on a 4-6-6-4 (or something close to that) using BBB wheels.
In my style of simple lines and 6 wide this can be a real Challanger! ;P
Baldwin, too, built Challengers. Denver & Rio Grande Western took delivery of
fifteen Baldwins between 1938 and 1942. They found a home operating between
Minturn, Colo., and Salt Lake City, Utah. -

Wow. This is a tour de force! Whether prototypical or not, it would
totally rock to see these pulled by JTs DRGW diesels. VERY well done,
thanks for sharing.
Nnnnaaa, I think steve needs to build one or two of the falling Alco PA-1 or
EMD F Series Diesels:

Sure! and as soon as LEGO makes that car hood piece available in his orange,
he could just crib my design and hed be all set.
I wonder if I should ldraw it?
But I still think that these cars would look SWEET behind JTs black and
orange beauties.
