     (...) for decoders, most of us are using digitrax decoders of various types. But, any DCC compatable decoder will work. The LDCC setup uses the mindstorms remote control to operate.      (...) I have installed several Digitrax DN142's. I really like the "Back EMF" load compensation function. It helps with voltage droop on curves and hills.    (...) I have tried hard to make a bogie pickup with out success, mainly due to the difficulty fashioning a metalic pickup that is reliable. There is a disadvantage in powering the lights direct from the track (which of course is possible) and that (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)
