  Re: height standards... ?

Re: 7wide Passenger Car Roof uses Shovels

(...) Wow, there are a LOT of very nice design elements in that deceptively simple looking coach. You are a very clever builder! Chris -- (URL) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: BoxCar

(...) That looks good. The one thing that stands out is the ladder. You make an effort to recess it at the bottom, but not at the top. Did you try doing it at the top?   Re: 7-wide Swiss Re 4/4 Electric Locomotive

(...) I don't see any really big gaps, but the nose looks too steep. Spiffy technique though on that. (...) Neat engine. (...) I have to agree, the model is too tall. There seems also to be only one door per cab as you say. I think it's also a bit (...) (21 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: height standards... ?

Gak! I don't think there are any decided 'standards' out there yet, nor even any 'recommended practices', but looking at the image, a full 9 bricks is far too high for a hi-cube car. I've seen plenty of hi-cube boxcars, both auto parts and (...) (21 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)
