Re: GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention —David Blomberg
These models are awesome. I like the detail in the three dimensional landscape... the track following the river's edge and a river where the water level actually gets progressively lower: (URL) too bad TLG group doesn't have a "freestyle" or (...) (25 years ago, 2-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention —John Gerlach
(...) First, *Thanks* for the kind words! TLG so far has given us two keychains, and an "Idea Book".         Re: GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention —Stephen F. Roberts
...Love the pics... I dream that we can get a setup 1/1000th as good! But I do have a building question... ...In the pic (URL) what are those girder pieces? I dont recognize them, but they'd be darn handy! (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Those are 2x2 5h girders. They were available in black in 6444 Outback Airstrip, (URL) in red in 1682 Space Shuttle (URL) think 1682 has 8 of them. Conan has a shoebox sized bin about 1/2 full of the red ones. He parted out a LOT of 1682s. (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention —Frank Filz
(...) I don't have quite that many in black, but I do have a bunch (parted out a BUNCH of 6444s). (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention —John Neal
(...) Conan is a one way street. The Lego only goes one direction;-) He laughs when we tell him the value of certain pieces he has, or what something sold for on Ebay. He does have a ton of MIB sets that he wants to eventually sell off (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention —Stephen F. Roberts
(...) ...Ok, this is a piece we need to plan a secret night raid into LEGO headquarters to liberate... I could name at least 4,122 uses for those girders, not the least of which is to make great bridge supports... (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Convention Coverage (was GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention) —Paul Foster
So has anyone heard of any magazine coverage of the NMRA convention. What monthly issue of Model Railroader usually covers the convention? Any other mags to check? (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention —Stephen F. Roberts
(...) ...Well, I think it might be the only choice we have! They don't take personal orders (like for the 13,592 2x4 red bricks I need), and they don't want to release good service packs (like a 20 of girders)... I think a night raid just might be (...)         Re: GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention —Christopher Masi
When I worked in the factory (12 years ago) we had no contact with the brick molding people. We knew where they were, and every once and a while one of them would come out with a dumpster of deformed bricks. It looks like maybe a Chistmas Eve raid (...)
