  Re: Caboose in service!

Down here on CSX we still use cabeese as shoving platforms. Of course everything is stripped out of them except a couple seats...for those rough shoving moves. -Harvey (22 years ago, 15-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Ogel's Train of Assimilation

(...) Thanks, I wish I could participate more (at all?) in the SCLTC, but it requires significantly more time than LUGOLA does. I don't have much time with our baby to tend. (22 years ago, 15-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Caboose in service!

Hey all, I saw a caboose in service the other day. A GP-something or other (sorry I am such a bad/lazy rail spotter) was pulling a caboose and three box cars. The caboose was tucked in between the engine and the box cars. GP-{caboose}-{box car}-{box (...) (22 years ago, 15-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Is 12v compatible with 9v???

(...) Yes and no. You have to file down some plastic on the inside of the 12v electrified rails to get them to snap onto the 9v tracks. Also, the wheels on the 12v trains knock against the 9v power supply bricks, and can eventually knock the 9v (...) (22 years ago, 15-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)
